Starting a Business Tutoring Students in MathIn an exciting development, two longtime best friends, Kim and Cindy, are starting a business tutoring students in math. The two have taught several years of math for each other and are eager to share their knowledge with the world.Kim and Cindy want to help others with their problems because they too face them. They understand that it is not easy being stuck in a rut in their own lives. They would like to offer assistance in the form of the one thing they know how to do; teach math. Their motivation is to offer assistance to others that may be experiencing difficulties in math and use their experience to be more effective in this field.'Kim and I grew up together and are very close friends. We don't get enough time to be together as we have two very busy careers. She has been a math tutor for several years now and I have been tutoring many students for the past year. Our one major difference in our lives is that she was never good at math so it's only been recently that she has started studying it. She always excelled at art, but we always had a difficult time getting her to study something besides music.''We were looking for a way to make some extra money and figured we could start a tutoring business. We went online and found a bunch of websites where tutors could post their services. We started out offering online tutoring in math because it seemed like a good match with our life.'The first two months were really rough because we both had very few hours to work. We spent every waking hour trying to figure out a way to make enough money to keep us from getting homesick. After about a monthwe came up with a business plan and have been working day and night to try to make it work.'We met with a tutor in the first week and we both felt that our school was better than hers so we continued the tutoring business for a month. It all just came together when we realized that we were both really good at math and we would ea ch benefit from making it a part of our lives.'Kim and I have been working together for the past year and now the business is done. We are working on updating our website and will be marketing ourselves to bring in some extra income. It's a lot of hard work but it's all worth it because we've learned so much from our experience.'
